How do Americans apprehend the world out there? Only 22 percent of Americans have traveled outside the U.S. in the last five years. This is not a country that understands very well the world in which its lives. The American media does not help in these matters. The Fields Report is a response to incurious and often ignorant and arrogant journalism concerning international affairs as well a slate for my thoughts on foreign policy in general. Fields Report the man fancies himself a writer on all sorts of international issues particularly those issues underreported, misunderstood, and generally mucked up by the U.S. media. Fields Report is currently a doctoral fellow in the School of International Relations at the University of Southern California and actually pays the bills as a consultant on international security issues and an analyst for the Center for Nonproliferation Studies where he tries to keep the world safe from weapons of mass destruction. Reports that he wears a cape are exaggerated.
